Red Cross Blood Drive.  During Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, the American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give blood or platelets to provide hope and healing to patients fighting cancer. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women, and more than 268,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Here is today’s opportunity you have to donate blood to breast cancer patients:  11 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Culvers, 3471 O’Neill Drive, Jackson. Vista Grande Villa Fall Open House.  We invite you to visit Vista Grande Villa during this colorful time of the year.  Explore common spaces, a model apartment, and meet the friendly neighbors.  Experience the Carriage Home neighborhood, with a tour of our model home and a cup of warm cider.  2 PM to 6 PM.  Vista Grande Villa, 2251 Springport Road, Jackson.  Refreshments will be available. No Carve Pumpkin Decorating Contest.  Come show off your pumpkin decorating skills! You can paint, glue, bedazzle, and bedeck your pumpkin however you wish, as long as it isn’t carved! Real or artificial pumpkins are equally welcome. Bring your decorated pumpkin to the Meijer Branch between October 25-30. Winners will be chosen on October 31! All ages are welcome!  Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library. Yoga At Meijer.  Join us at the Meijer Branch! Stop by the Meijer Branch every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 AM and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.  9:30 AM.
