(February 8, 2022 10:08 AM) The Professional Bowlers Association will be making a stop in Jackson the next two days.

And some of the top bowlers in the world will be part of the tournament.

The Storm Cup: David Small’s Best of the Best Championship will start Tuesday with qualifying to begin at 11 a.m. and conclude Wednesday with the stepladder tournament beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

The winner will receive a top prize of $20,000.

Entry priority will be given in the following order – The top 50 2021 PBA Tour point leaders and PBA Tour champions, regardless of status, who entered by Jan. 24. 

Sixty six spots are being held for priority entrants. 

After Jan. 24, any remaining spots will go to the bowlers in qualifying tournaments.

Some of the top bowlers in the tournament include Jason Belmonte, Kyle Troup, Anthony Simonsen, E.J. Tackett, Andrew Anderson from Holly, Mich., and Tom Smallwood from Saginaw, Mich.

Daily passes are available for fans who would like to view the tournament for $10. 

A qualifying tournament, practice session, and pro-am was held on Monday at JAX 60.

The remaining schedule will be: Qualifying from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. with the top 24 advancing; a round of 24 on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon; a round of 16 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; the round of eight from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; and the four-person stepladder tournament beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

The top prize is $20,000, second place is $12,000; third place will net $7,000; and fourth place is good for $5,500. 

Qualifying rounds and the finals will be broadcast on Flowbowling.
