The Brooklyn Village Council unanimously approved a request on Monday, June 10th rename the village “Faster Horses,” Michigan for honorary purposes. Village Manager Jae Guetschow confirmed that the renaming is only going to be temporary during a telephone interview with JTV.

The vote was 5-0, as two of the seven council members were absent from the meeting. The 2019 Faster Horses lineup includes Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Zac Brown Band. This is the seventh year for the festival at Michigan International Speedway, which was named “Festival of the Year” last month by the Academy of Country Music.
