The Jackson County Board of Commissioners is expected next week to appoint a committee to study the feasibility of improvements and repairs to the Cascades Falls.  A study commissioned last year suggests needed upgrades could cost nearly $10 million according to Interim County Parks Director Adam Brown and Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission Mike Way.  Other guests:  Columbia Schools Superintendent Pam Campbell with bond proposal committee members Todd Kennedy and Jodi Collins;  Ken Toll and Rick Chambers, United Way of Jackson County;  Cascades Humane Society’s “Unleash Your Heart Gala” organizers Rachel Brege and Tim Bos;  Jackson, MI Day in Florida with Virgina McGee and Jim Collins.
