The Grande Reveal community event will be on Monday, April 22 from 4 to 6 PM.  It will feature a celebration with live music, hors d'oeuvres, and choice of beverage. (October 30, 2020 10:11 AM) Thursday, Jackson Downtown Partners, developers of The 200, hosted a ceremony celebrating the installation of a rooftop solar array and the completion of the new next-generation commercial mixed-use residential building.   The first residents of Downtown Jackson’s newest apartment building will begin moving in at the start of December. The 200, at 200 North Jackson Street, anchors the first-of-its kind Jackson Smart Energy District. Consumers Energy topped the four-story complex with a solar array that will support The 200’s innovative energy management technology platform, part of Consumers Energy’s commitment to earn Jackson a preeminent position on the national map for energy leadership. Spring Arbor University Hosting Homecoming This Weekend

Students participate in the 5K race at the 2018 Homecoming.  (Courtesy photo) Homecoming Weekend is being celebrated this Friday and Saturday at Spring Arbor University.  The University is inviting all students, parents of students, alumni and community partners to Homecoming 2019, Friday-Saturday, Sept. 27-28. Although most of the weekend’s activities are free of charge, registration is required for some events. The festivities begin with Homecoming Chapel on Friday morning, featuring former SAU Chaplain Ron Kopicko ’77 as speaker and an alumni/student Chapel band. On Friday evening, SAU is celebrating this year’s award recipients at the Alumni Awards Banquet at Commonwealth Commerce Center in Jackson.  (Reservations are now closed for the award dinner).   The evening will culminate with introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams at the “Cougar Madness” event in SAU’s McDonald Athletic Center. Nineteenth Year of High School Football Coming on JTV

JTV Sports will return with presentations of High School Football this year. This will be JTV's 19th year of consecutive coverage of varsity athletics throughout Jackson County. JTV Sports | August 5th, 2019 | JTV Sports Staff JTV Sports’ nineteenth season of High School Football coverage begins at the end of this month. Since JTV began coverage of High School Sports in 2000, nearly 50,000 high school student-athletes have appeared in over 3,000 games telecast on JTV.   JTV offers complete game coverage, as well as programs like The Locker Room, Aspen One-Hour Football Show, Thursday Night Hoops and other specials. JTV has earned the distinction of being “The World Leader in Local High School Sports Television.” Each week during the regular and post-season, JTV covers 3 to 4 games, with play-by-play and color commentators, instant replays, graphics and several in-game features.
