By Jeff Steers JTV Sports (March 14, 2022 10:33 PM) It is hard to tell that Michigan Center High School basketball player Nikolas Kosmet played soccer last fall, not football. The senior guard was throwing dimes to teammates for easy layups in the second half helping the Cardinals earn a 59-47 win over Clinton in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 regional semifinal at Dansville High School. The Cardinals advance to the regional final Wednesday at Dansville against Bath. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.  MCHS Coach Travis Gaddy talked about getting up and down the floor more at halftime and Kosmet and teammates listened and executed. “We got outran in the first half against Clinton,” Kosmet said. “I have always been able to throw them in there.” Michigan Center broke open a close game thanks to seven points by Brody Shannon and six by Carter Kosmet in the quarter.  The Cardinals led 41-31 heading into the final quarter. “Brody Shannon set the tone…

The Northwest wrestler lost to Wisler in the first match of the season, but gained the upper hand over the New Boston Huron grappler midway through the season. “Losing my first match of the season was a wake up call,” Haselius said. “It helped me to focus on what the goal was for the season.” Haselius took control in the championship match against Wisler and was digging for more late in the match. “You can’t let up in a match … you have to keep grinding,” Haselius said. “It doesn’t matter what…
