Cardinals Run Past Redwolves in Regional Semifinal Basketball

By Jeff Steers JTV Sports (March 14, 2022 10:33 PM) It is hard to tell that Michigan Center High School basketball player Nikolas Kosmet played soccer last fall, not football. The senior guard was throwing dimes to teammates for easy layups in the second half helping the Cardinals earn a 59-47 win over Clinton in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 regional semifinal at Dansville High School. The Cardinals advance to the regional final Wednesday at Dansville against Bath. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. MCHS Coach Travis Gaddy talked about getting up and down the floor more at halftime and Kosmet and teammates listened and executed. “We got outran in the first half against Clinton,” Kosmet said. “I have always been able to throw them in there.” Michigan Center broke open a close game thanks to seven points by Brody Shannon and six by Carter Kosmet in the quarter.
