By Jeff Steers JTV Sports (August 16, 2021 4:31 PM) Three teams that could vie for the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 4 golf title met at the Hanover-Horton Golf Invitational on Monday at Cascades Golf Course. The 10-team invitational kicked off the fall season in high school sports. Lansing Catholic Central earned the title with a four-man total of 354. Lumen Christi finished second with 358, Western was third at 419, and Michigan Center placed fourth with 422. LCC finished second in Division 4 a year ago, MC was third, and Lumen Christi was 13th. Jackson finished fifth (437), Columbia Central was sixth (449), Napoleon was seventh (481), Grass Lake shot 502, Hanover-Horton was ninth (510), and East Jackson shot 539. State individual champion Kamryn Shannon of Michigan Center earned medalist honors with 75, Ashley Hilderley of LCCHS and Logan Bentley of Columbia Central tied for second with a 77, and Syd Redovich of Western was fifth with 80.
