Lumen Christi Headed to New Conference in 23-24

Lumen Christi Catholic High School Athletic Director Jesse Brown announced on Thursday that the Titans will be joining the Catholic High School League in 2023-2024. The Titans joined the newly formed Interstate-8 Conference in 2014 with schools from the Jackson and Battle Creek areas. The Catholic High School League consists of 34 teams in the Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toledo areas. A total of 27 of the schools are Catholic schools according to Brown.  “This is going to be a great change … it puts our faith first,” Brown said of the changing of the leagues. “We do play a number of these teams in the regular season and playoffs.” Some of the schools the Titans are expected to compete against in their division are Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, Riverview Gabriel Richard, St. Mary's Prep, and other teams in the Ann Arbor and southeastern Michigan area.   Brown said the 34-team league is split up into seven-team or smaller divisions.
