They may have to change the name of the Jackson County Women Golf Association Medal Play golf tournament.

Grass Lake High School golf Coach Andrea Clark won her 11th consecutive Medal Play title at Hills’ Heart of the Lakes Golf Course on Friday.

She finished with rounds of 68, 75, and 68 for a three-round total of 211. Par for the women at Heart of the Lakes is 69.

Pam Messerly finished second at 231, Kathy Swihart shot 232, and newcomer Natalie Kulka finished with 244 in the championship bracket. Deb Falk was fifth (246), Shelley Christoff finished sixth (261), and Beth Elliott shot 264.

In the first flight, Judy Eddy and Sandy Fisher tied for first place with 258. Fisher was award first place in the flight based on a playoff system.

Nancy Showerman shot an 87 to claim first place in the second flight. She finished with a three-day total of 269.

Charlotte Edington shot 98 on Friday to edge Janie Bristol by one shot at 309 for the title in the third flight.

The JCWGA next one day meet will be Friday, June 26, at Green Valley Golf Course.
