Spring Arbor– The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially announced the seeds and site selections for the 2018 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round and the Spring Arbor University men’s soccer team will take on Olivet Nazarene University at the Cougar Soccer Complex on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.

Head coach Nathan Miller and the Cougars are making their second appearance in the opening round in the last three years, and their sixth all-time after receiving one of four at-large bids. Meanwhile, Olivet Nazarene booked its seventh trip in program history to the national tournament by finishing as the regular season co-champions in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The 15 winners of the National Championship Opening Round matches – as well as host Vanguard University – will advance to the national championship final site at the OC Great Park Soccer Stadium in Irvine, California. The 16-team, single-elimination tournament takes place Nov. 26 – Dec. 1.

Spring Arbor (16-4-1, 9-0-0 CL) came in at No. 11 in the final regular season edition of the NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and No. 11 in the MRPI ratings.

Olivet Nazarene (15-4-0, 10-1-0 CCAC) was ranked No. 18 in the latest Top 25 poll and 32nd in the MRPI ratings.
