Jackson College Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. Jackson College invites the community to the 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, featuring keynote speaker Lawson Pilgrim, “Mr. Smiley.” Lawson Pilgrim is a motivational speaker who firmly believes that greatness dwells in everyone! He will share an inspirational address with audience members on “Making Your Dreams Come True!” The evening will also feature recognition of the 2018 King Medal of Service Award winner, Alan Wade of Jackson, owner and publisher of the Jackson Blazer. The 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Robert Snyder Dining Commons, Potter Center.
