The Michigan Theatre presents Kev Nichols and Blue Tuesday returning for another night of jams! Come to watch or get up to jam!  Either way, its FREE! Doors open at 7:00 PM.

Free Concert at Jackson Coffee Company featuring Bob Marshall.  Bob has performed in front of audiences in the Detroit metropolitan area as well as Missouri, Kansas and California. One fan says, “Bob Marshall’s rich baritone voice and sublime guitar work will make your day. He will make you laugh and warm your heart…. visit with Bob and listen to his great originals, parodies and covers…he does it all!”  7 PM to 10 PM, Jackson Coffee Company, corner of Cortland and Mechanic, Downtown Jackson.

American 1 Women’s Expo.  The Jackson Women’s Expo is a free community event hosted by American 1 Credit Union. Attendees will be able to browse products, sample foods, and learn about businesses and services from a different variety of nearly 170 vendors. Anywhere from beauty, fashion, to jewelry you name it and it will be there. American 1 Credit Union is proud to host positive family events like the Jackson Women’s Expo as a way to give back to their communities.  10 AM to 4 PM, Middle School at Parkside.  Free admission.  Parking with shuttle at former East Michigan Avenue K-Mart, Westwood Mall (behind Wal-Mart) and Polly’s at Summit Oaks Mall.

Southern Michigan Winter Beer Fest.  8th Annual SMWBF is a great day of celebrating craft beers and ciders from both national and local brewers! Food vendors, music, give aways and beverage related items along with Indoor and Outdoor tasting tents.  You can get your tickets by either calling the Jackson County Fair Office at 517-788-4405 or online at ETIX.com.  Ticket prices are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.  Jackson County Fairgrounds, 12 Noon to 5 PM.

Taste of the Irish Hills.  The Brooklyn-Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce presents the 8th annual Taste of the Irish Hills. This event takes place on Saturday March 10 and Sunday March 11, 2018. Tickets cost only $25 per person. Ticket holders will enjoy a self-guided tour of 20 Irish Hills restaurants, sampling some of their best cuisine over the two days. The first 300 tickets will receive a commemorative pub glass filled with goodies.  Tickets are on sale at the chamber office (124 S. Jefferson Starship in Concert at Jackson College.  7 PM, Potter Center Music Hall.  Formed in the wake of legendary 1970s band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship brings new energy to their classic songs like, “We Built This City” and “Miracles,” while staying true to the integrity of the music. Between 1974 and 1984, Jefferson Starship released eight gold and platinum albums, twenty hit singles, sold out concerts worldwide and lived out legendary rock and roll escapades. Murder Mystery at the Museum.  Join for a stimulating evening of fine dining and engrossing live theater and we play out “The Curse of the Hope Diamond” at the Ella Sharp Museum. Leave your diamonds at home, lest the curse be contagious, but be prepared for an entertaining, interactive experience. Entertainment provided by Get Away With Murder ( killer parties! ) This event is 1920’s themed, so dress in your best 20’s era attire.  $55 per person/$100 per couple, $50 per person/$90 per couple if members. The Michigan Theatre will be screening the film “The Florida Project”.  Doors open at 6:30 P.M. Film Starts at 7:00 P.M. Admission is 5 Dollars. 

Northwest Band Boosters Craft Show.  You’re invited to the 3rd Annual Northwest Band Boosters CRAFT SHOW from 10am-3pm at Northwest High School, 4200 Van Horn Rd., Jackson,  $2 admission.  Food available and entertainment by Northwest High School Band.

Art Dog.  Jackson School of the Arts has gone to the dogs again! Join us Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm as we celebrate our love of dogs and reading. Special guests include Wilbur The Art Dog and Stella who will show off her agility skills. All kids are invited to try out a special agility course too! Read with our therapy dogs, create dog inspired art and shop in Pooch Plaza for unique items for you and your own best friend. Cascades Humane Society will be here with dogs who need a good home. This event is free.

Second Sunday at ART 634.  March is Youth Art Month and ART 634 is celebrating those who inspire our youth…the Teachers. Also on display are a selection of their students’ artwork.  Meet-n-greet the Reading Writing Connection.  Music by BILLY JOE HUNT.  Betty K’s March Surprise Make-N-Take….think Green, $3!  Buy, sell, and trade vintage instruments at Detour Music.
