Veterans Resource Fair.  Congressman Tim Walberg will be hosting a Veterans Resource Fair from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office to provide the resources necessary for veterans to file VA benefit claims. Representatives from the Community Action Agency, Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and Veterans Benefits Administration will be onsite to aid veterans and their beneficiaries to learn more about available benefits and services.  Veterans please bring a copy of your DD214.  For more information call 517-780-9075 or visit walberg.house.gov.  The Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office is located at 1715 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.

Experience Jackson Volunteer Training.  Experience Jackson is looking for volunteers at various community festivals and events. Experience Jackson provides information to attendees on the things to do in Jackson and tries to identity future travel leads. We ask anyone who is interested in potentially volunteering with us to attend the 2018 Volunteer Orientation today from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the Experience Jackson’s Office (134 W. County Master Gardener Association Annual Spring Gardening Seminar.  Jackson District Library, Eastern Branch, 3125 East Michigan Avenue,  6 PM to 7:30 PM.  Presentation by Mike Bertan on Self-Watering Containers and Raised Garden.  A Q&A session with Master Gardeners Libby Greanya, Darold Ebersole and Betty Lorenzi.  Free and open to the public.

Family Storytime at the Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Carnegie Branch every Monday at 6 PM for stories, crafts and more.  Intended for ages 0-7 and their families.

Writer’s Group at Spring Arbor Branch, Jackson District Library.  Presented by Grant Landis.  Pick up some tips and/or off yours. New members welcome.  Join us on Monday, April 16 from 7-9 p.m.  Intended for adults.  Spring Arbor Branch, 113 E. Main St. Spring Arbor.


* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will spread back into the area overnight with snowfall of up to two inches possible. near and south of I-94 there may be a slight mixture with sleet and freezing rain. Significant icing is not expected. Roads will become slippery overnight.
