Grand Rivers Farmers Market.  The Jackson Downtown Development Authority presents the Grand River Farmers Market.  Local produce, crafts, flowers, plants, baked goods and more.  9 AM to 2 PM Friday and Saturday.  Corner of Glick and Mechanic, along the Grand River.  Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.  Every Friday and Saturday through October.

The Michigan Theatre Popcorn Giveaway.  Michigan Theatre of Jackson is offering FREE curbside popcorn pick up this Thursday at Friday!  Pull up on Mechanic Street (near the Michigan Theatre Marquee) between 5:00 till 6:30 P.M. on Friday, July 10, for your Free Box (or boxes) of POPCORN.  Just pull up and one of the Theatre’s masked and gloved representatives will hand you a box (or boxes) of popcorn.

Cascades Rotary Community Bandshell Summer Concert Series.  July 11:  Steve Berkemeier.  Rock, country folk music, original selections and personal stories.  7 PM.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair.  All concerts are free.

Red Cross Blood Drives. The The American Red Cross is now testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. The antibody test used by the Red Cross is authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and may indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the coronavirus, regardless of whether they developed symptoms.  At the same time, there continues to be an urgent need for blood donations after hospital demand for blood products increased in recent weeks.
