Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  A community-driven market prioritizing fresh local produce and Michigan-only homemade & artisan goods.  Open Fridays and Saturdays, 9am-2pm throughout the summer into early fall. The Grand River Farmers Market is located in the parking lot of Grand River Brewery at the intersection of Louis Glick Highway and Mechanic Street. NEW: Rotating food trucks and music on select days. John Louis Good – The Rose City Troubadour, will be live at The Grand River Farmers Market in Jackson, MI on Friday July 21st, 11am-1pm.  Vendors, artisans, and performers.  117 W Louis Glick Hwy, Jackson.

Live at the Lab.  7 AM to 9 AM.  Join The Chamber and Home.fm at the Lean Rocket Lab as the 106.9 Home.fm Morning Show goes On the Road. There will be casual networking & FREE Fortress Cafe coffee for those attending. We are welcoming in a variety of community members and business owners to highlight the great things going on in Jackson – all morning long! 133 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Lean Rocket Locals Fellow Pop Up Market.  10 AM to 2 PM.  Join us for our first ever Lean Rocket LOCAL Fellow’s Pop-Up Market. We would love for you to join us here at Lean Rocket Lab to check out our incredible Fellow’s amazing businesses!  133 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Downtown Jackson Cruise In and Concert.  Cruise In & Concerts take place the 4th Friday of the month between May and September.  Cruise-In 5- 8 p.m.  Concert begins at 6, musical guest:  Billy Lewis and the Soulbacks..  Horace Blackman Park and on downtown streets W Michigan Ave & S Jackson St, Jackson.  Food trucks, vendors, displays, hundreds of classic and antique cars and trucks!  

Speed and Shine Downtown Cruise In Event.  JTV’s Speed and Shine will be filming a new episode during Cruise Night in front of JTV, 152 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.  Come meet host Mike Sadler and see Rick Klibenski’s Forcasta Bubble Car.

Palooza at the Falls.  Gates open at 6 PM, Show at 6:30 PM.  Mobile Dueling Pianos.  High energy, interactive sing-a-long, dance-a-long, party filled with musical comedy extravaganzas!  Food trucks, live entertainment, beer tent.  $5 per person, $4 ages 65 and over.  Cascades Falls.

Jackson County Relay for Life.   4 PM Friday to 2 PM Saturday.  Join the American Cancer Society’s 2023 Relay For Life of Jackson County at Cascades Falls Park.  Survivors will be honored, Luminary Ceremony, Food Trucks, Team events, entertainment and more. 

Vineyard Jams:  Friday and Saturday Music.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Join us this Summer for the return of our Friday & Saturday night music series: Vineyard Jams.  Every Friday and Saturday evening (Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend) from 7-10 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best bands in the area. From rock ‘n roll, to blues, and country and pop, there is something for everyone. Beer, Wine, Wine Slushies, & Cider.  Rotating Food Trucks.  Limited Cafe’ Menu.  Open to all ages. Great music and fantastic food trucks!   Friday:  Same Mistake Twice and featured food truck is Craveable.  Saturday:  Pair of Aces, Queen High and featured food truck is Baby Bear Burgers.  Cherry Creek Cellars, 11500 Silver Lake Highway, Brooklyn.

The Van Buren Boys Unplugged.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Join us as we try to play at a reasonable volume on the legendary Dirty Bird patio! Can we do it? Well, there’s only one way to find out!  140 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Cash O’Riley Live at Ironbark.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Catch the legendary Cash O’Riley as he returns to Ironbark with his blend of rockabilly, alternative folk, and rock!  2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Late Night Friday at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  6 – 10 PM.  Late Night Friday with Live Music by Flowers on the Grave.  Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Rd, Jackson.  Long time musician at the winery, Kenny Flowers, is bringing his band out, Flowers on the Grave.  They’ll be playing pop, classic rock, 90s as well as original from 6-9pm! Let’s give them a warm welcome! Open ’til 10pm.

Summer Night Sky.  4 PM.  Join us at the Hurst as we transform the dome into the night sky! This is a live presentation where you will learn about some of the constellations that you can find in the Summer months as well as tips and tricks to get around the night sky.  Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum.  Event page here. 

Nixon Water Park.  The City of Jackson Nixon Water Park season is now underway.  Hours are Monday thru Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM, session price $5.  3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, session price $4.  Senior Swim:  Tuesday and Friday, 9 AM to 10:30 AM, session price $2.  Closed Sundays.  400 E. North Street at Cooper Street, Jackson.

Hanover Branch Book Sale.  Stop by the Jackson District Library Hanover Branch to shop books from your favorite authors for all ages!  Dates and Times:  Monday, July 24: 1-7 PM, Wednesday, July 26: 10 AM – 6 PM, Friday, July 28: 1-6 PM, Saturday, July 29: 10 AM – 2 PM.  This event is presented by the Friends of the Jackson District Library and all proceeds help support JDL programming.

Summer Wine & Wool Festival.  10 AM – 5 PM.  Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Rd, Jackson.  The Summer Wine & Wool Festival is here!  Walk the winery grounds filled with nearly 30 local fiber vendors: fiber farmers, dyers, and more. Stop by and bring your knitting, spinning, or crochet and make a day of it! Cascades Rotary Bandshell Concert Series.  The Cascades Rotary Bandshell Presents Flyte. Show starts at 7pm.  Free!  Presented by Alro Steel. Bring your lawn chair or blankets for a night a great entertainment by Flyte!

Civil War Days and Americana.  11 am – 4 pm.  Paddock Hubbard House, 317 Hanover St., Concord, Michigan.  The Hubbard Memorial Museum Foundation is happy to announce Civil War Days and Americana is back again at the Paddock Hubbard House, located at 317 Hanover St., in Concord, on Saturday, July 29th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The formal program at the daylong event will have a program emceed by Todd Holton at 1 p.m

Downtown Backyard BBQ.  12 PM to 8 PM.  Gears vs. Steers Downtown Backyard BBQ at Grand River Brewery, 117 W Louis Glick Hwy, Jackson.  Tickets are $10 here.  SADIE BASS & SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMING LIVE AT GRAND RIVER BREWERY JACKSON!   Join us on July 30th for the first annual Downtown Backyard BBQ Battle between West Texas Barbeque Co. and Grand River Brewery! Downtown Jackson Day.  The Jackson Downtown Development Authority presents Jackson Downtown Day.  Sunday, July 30, 2023.  11 am – 4 pm.  Amazing Bubble Bri, Bubble Artist, Bubble Tea Truck, Social District, Food Trucks, Pop-Up Vendors, and Music! Swingin’ at the Shell.  6 PM.  Albion – FREE Music Concerts on Sundays all Summer Long.  Swingin’ at the Shell is an annual series of FREE music concerts, held each Sunday during the summer at 6 p.m. in Beautiful Albion, Michigan. Come out and enjoy a wide variety of sounds including Jazz, Soul, Rock, Brass, Big Band, Celtic, Piano, Funk, Blues, and more. The Victory Park Band Shell has plenty of room for you and your friends to have a great time!  BRING your lawn chair or blanket!  This Sunday:  Old Days, A Chicago Tribute.  Does anybody really know what time it is?” Old Days sure does, as they believe it’s always a good time for music by Chicago! If you’re a fan of Chicago’s smooth jazz-rock music, you will love this tribute band based in Flint, Michigan. Consisting of members that love the music of Chicago just as much as their fans, they preserve the authentic sounds that everyone loves.
