Downtown Jackson Art Walk.  4 PM to 7 PM. Great art, drinks/snacks, and a fun night out with your friends or family. Bring your significant other and make it a date! More than 20 downtown businesses participating, each hosting a local artist.  See demonstrations, and performance art, meet the artists, and shop!  Retail, restaurants, bars, offices and other locations throughout Downtown Jackson participating.  Stop by JTV and meet artist Zach Snyder.

Live Music at Jackson Coffee Company.  6:30 PM to 9 PM.  Come grab a drink and enjoy some live music from Mike Fenton in our upstairs. Pet friendly!  Jackson Coffee Company, 201 S. Mechanic Street, Downtown Jackson.

The Imposters Live at Ironbark.  7 PM.  Join The Impostors for an evening of folk, alternative, and jam music!  Ironbark Brewing Company, 2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Late Night Friday at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  6 PM to 9 PM.  Start your weekend off at the winery with live music by Jay Frydenlund from 6-9 pm! Safety Around Water. Jackson YMCA. The world is 71% water. Kids need to be 100% prepared.  Drowning can happen almost anywhere with standing water. Our FREE program will give your kids the skills they need to be safe in and around water.  Open to ages 5-12.  Classes are free, but pre-registration is required.  Select ONE one-hour time slot:  Friday, May 20, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Saturday, May 21, 11 am – 12 pm OR 1-2 pm. Bark and Brew Online Silent Auction Preview.  Jackson County Animal Shelter volunteers will be hosting an online auction for a preview of auction items of what’s to come at THE BARK & BREW. 100% of proceeds will benefit JCAS.  To see auction items, click here.  The Jackson County Animal Shelter online preview auction for BARK & Brew runs through May 21st.  Jackson’s Bark and Brew! Bark and Brew takes place at Keeley Park on Saturday, May 21st from 1 to 6 pm.  Enjoy craft beers from local brewers, great food, live entertainment, door prizes, a dog talent show and more! Proceeds will benefit the Jackson County Animal Shelter Community Spay/Neuter program for Jackson County Animal Shelter Animals.

Jackson Spring Garden Event.  8 AM to 12 PM.  The Jackson County Master Gardener Association, the Men’s Garden Club, and the Women’s Garden Association will be assisting people in purchasing locally grown plants from our member gardens. Bring your gardening questions!  This is a yearly cooperative plant sale at the fairgrounds (Keeley Park).

Tunnel 2 Towers 5K Run and Walk.  9 AM.  Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Jackson’s Bark & Brew.  1 PM to 6 PM.  Join us for the funnest and dog friendliest event of the year! Jackson’s Bark and Brew takes place in The Hall @ Keeley Park on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Enjoy craft beers from local brewers, great food, live entertainment from Ian Stuart, door prizes, silent auction, dog talent show, contests and more. Proceeds will benefit the JCAS community spay/neuter program and emergency services for JCAS animals. Tickets are on sale now for $25 through Eventbrite.com ($35 at the door the day of the event). A commemorative sample glass is included with your purchase.

Black Arts Fest.  11 AM to 6 PM.  We are excited for the return of the #BlackArtsFest to the #SouthsideFestivalSeries on May 21st at  Elnora Moorman Plaza at the corner of High & Milwaukee Street.  Celebrating the Art and Artists of Jackson and surrounding areas. This Festival offers Artists an opportunity to share, sell and debut their artwork and creative pieces.  Food, shopping, exhibits, entertainment and more!

Jackson Symphony Orchestra Star Wars & More.  7 PM.  The JSO and the Ella Sharp Museum are taking you out of this world at lightspeed with a performance including iconic space themes from your favorite space-themed movies like Star Wars. Join us at the Michigan Theatre for an event that’s perfect for the whole family.  Don’t forget to wear your favorite costumes from Star Wars, Star Trek, or E.T, we’ll be having a costume contest! Doors open at 6:00 PM.  Tickets starting at $10

Spring Street Fair.  9 AM – 1 PM.  Roaming Goat invites you to come over to South Lake Street in Grass Lake on May 21st where we will close down the street to celebrate all things local and handmade! We select a variety of artists and makers including soaps, ceramics, candles, collage, jewelry, and more!

On Two Wheels Sunday Morning Breakfast Ride.  9 AM.  This is an OTW sanctioned road ride. This is a “B” ride, a 14mph-18mph, drop and join ride with a destination. This ride will take place on Jackson County roads, helmets are REQUIRED for all riders. Some road riding, and group ride skills will be necessary for this ride. Group will be leaving from Paragon Schools parking lot (corner of McCain & Robinson) at 9 am. Starting dates will be a 25-30 mile ride, and as the summer progresses, moving closer to 60-70 miles. Napoleon Spring Collage Concert.  3 PM.  For the first time in 3 years, the Napoleon Music Program will once again be able to perform our annual collage concert! We will be showcasing the talents of all 150+ students in our music program in this event, featuring all of the bands and choirs, the Jazz Band, and several student soloists and small ensembles who have auditioned to perform. This year’s concert selections will feature music from Lilo & Stitch, West Side Story, The Greatest Showman, Phantom of the Opera, The Beatles, and more!  Our 2022 Collage Concert will be held on SUNDAY, May 22nd in the High School Gym.  There is no charge for this event- however, donations to the Napoleon Music Program would be greatly appreciated!
