St. Joe Jack at Grand River Brewery.  One-man-band plays 100 breweries in 100 days!  7 PM to 9 PM.  Straight out of St. Joe Michigan, Jack Adams dumps his soul into soaring vocals and hopping guitar licks. Drawing influence from the Grateful Dead, Bob Marley and various, rock R&R and jazz artists; Jack blends it all together as if Bob Ross painted a house party.  As a single act Jack paves his passion as a “one man-jam band”, looping musical phrases and beat-boxing to create a lively “dance like there’s nobody one in the room” vibe. Anybody who drinks their coffee black and enjoys wearing denim is in for a treat when Jack is jamming.  Grand River Brewery, Downtown Jackson.

Pets for Veterans.  Cascades Humane Society (CHS) is proud to announce a partnership with Friends of the Animals to provide adoptions to local veterans free of charge.   Friends of Animals, a non-profit organization in the Jackson area, is sponsoring this event thanks to a grant from the Samuel Higby and Margaret H. Camp Foundation.   Veterans may visit CHS during the month of November to adopt one dog or two cats. CHS ensures that each animal is spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccines, and given parasite prevention. Veterans will need to provide their driver’s license or Michigan ID showing they reside in Jackson County, and a copy of their DD214 paperwork or their Jackson County Veterans ID card.   Cascades Humane Society is open noon to 6pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. To view current available pets, visit their website.

Approximately 300 Consumers Energy customers in the central business district of Downtown Jackson are without power tonight (including JTV). Crews have been dispatched and are investigating the cause. An estimate of restoration time is not available. JTV is off air until power returns.
