Red Cross Blood Drive  8 AM to 1:45 PM., East Jackson High School, 1566 Sutton Road, Jackson.  Hurricane Florence forced the cancellation of hundreds of American Red Cross blood drives, and blood donors of all types are needed now to bring hope to patients and replenish the blood supply.

Pumpkin Decorating at the Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.  Stop into the Eastern Branch at any time during the month of October, and pick up your small pumpkin to decorate and display! Kids can either decorate their pumpkin in the library or take it home. We’ll then display the pumpkins for everyone to enjoy throughout the month! Pumpkin decorating available during open hours today, 10 AM to 8 PM.

Tobacco Free Support Group. The Jackson Tobacco Reduction Coalition and the Smoke Free Health Action Team are pleased to promote the services of a new FREE peer led support group in Jackson County.  This support group is designed for those who are interested in becoming tobacco free and those who have already quit and want to remain tobacco free.  If you are interested in going to a support group where you can share your thoughts and feelings about trying to quit in a safe and confidential space, this is the spot for you.  Plan to join this support group which meets Every Monday evening 7 PM to 8:30 PM, Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library, Downtown Jackson.

Just Desserts Book Group.  Spring Arbor Branch, Jackson District Library, 12 N to 1 PM.  Always the first Monday of the Month and a different book.    Join Spring Arbor’s Just Desserts Book Group for their monthly book discussion.  Today’s book is  “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles.

Yoga at the Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Meijer Branch! Stop by the Meijer Branch every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.
