Jackson College Film Class presents… FIRST BLOOD.  7:15 PM. This film features the incredible biceps of Sylvester Stallone and his quest for revenge on anyone he comes in contact with. (1982) Vietnam veteran and drifter John J. Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) wanders into a small Washington town in search of an old friend, but is met with intolerance and brutality by the local sheriff, Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy). When Teasle and his deputies restrain and shave Rambo, he flashes back to his time as a prisoner of war and unleashes his fury on the officers. He narrowly escapes the manhunt, but it will take his former commander (Richard Crenna) to save the hunters from the hunted.  Doors open at 7 PM, film at 7:15 PM.  Admission $5.

Free Public Screening of Under the Radar Michigan.  6 PM.  Experience Jackson, Jackson County’s official tourism bureau, will host a free public screening of the latest Under the Radar Michigan episode at the Michigan Theatre, 124 N. Mechanic St., Jackson, MI 49201 on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, between 6 and 7:30 pm. The event will feature the 30-minute episode on the big screen, along with live accounts of local business owners and tour operators’ experiences during the filming. There will also be a chance to win a prize basket featuring local items.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
