Red Cross Blood Drive.  12 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., Heart O The Lakes Church, 7031 Jefferson Road, Clarklake.  September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give blood to support kids, teens and young adults battling cancer, as well as others in need of transfusions.

State Representative Julie Alexander Office Hours.  Representative Alexander will be holding office hours at the Jackson County Tower Building, first floor.  4 PM to 5 PM.  All are welcome to attend, no appointment necessary.

Food for Fines.  Wipe out $1 in overdue fines for every non-perishable item donated at any Jackson District Library branch September 6-16 and make a difference in your community. All collected items will be donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.  All branches, Jackson District Library.

Page Turners Book Club.    6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.  3125 E. Michigan Ave.  Come on over to the Eastern Branch on the 3rd Monday of the month as we read and discuss a book a month. Love it, loathe it, or couldn’t care less, all opinions are welcome! Rocky Horror Picture Show Auditions.  Auditions for RHPS shadow cast.  That’s right, Rocky Horror Picture Show is returning to Jackson!  If you are interested in being a part of this crazy cast, auditions will be held at Sherman Oaks Clubhouse.  Sherman Oaks is located off of Lansing Ave (north of Jackson).  Once you enter the park, the clubhouse is located about halfway through the park.  Auditions will be held September 16th and 17th from 7PM to 9PM.
