Downtown Cruise Night.  5-8 pm in Downtown Jackson. This event will also feature a massive Food Truck Rally in Horace Blackman Park, welcoming 15 food truck vendors. Two bands will also play at the True Community Credit Union Amphitheatre, making for one great evening of downtown events. Downtown retailers and restaurants are open late, offering sales and specials!  Come to the last Cruise Night of the season!

Stomp Out Suicide Event.  Presented by: LifeWays.  Help us honor lives lost to suicide, celebrate survivors, and support their friends and families. This annual event spreads awareness in our community on the impact suicide has had in Jackson and how together we can create real change to Stomp Out Suicide.  This year our event will be IN PERSON with an option to stream it live from home. We will have a screening of the “Do It For Daniel” film, keynote speaker and father of Daniel, Jeff Olsen, will speak, and there will be a luminary walk around downtown Jackson at dusk.  Admission will be a minimum donation of $10 and includes your Stomp Out Suicide T Shirt!  Click HERE for a full schedule of events. 5 PM to 9 PM.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Grand River Farmers Market.  The Grand River Farmers Market at the corner of Louis Glick and Pearl Streets in Jackson is open Fridays and Saturdays, 9-2.  Lots of great new vendors, and our favorite regulars too!   A great selection of local seasonal produce is available. Recovery Out Loud Walk and Event.  Home of New Vision is proud to partner with the Jackson Area Recovery Community (JARC) for the 6th Annual Recover Out Loud Walk on September 25 from 11-3! Registration will begin at 10 am at The Home of New Vision Resource Center located at 407 W. Michigan, Jackson Mi.  This event aims to show our community that people can and do recover from substance use disorders! Come get your commemorative t-shirt, listen to some inspiring speakers and entertainers, get a bite to eat, and most importantly…Recover Out Loud.

Toddler Tour. 11 AM Ella Sharp Museum.  It’s never too early to start visiting museums! Andy Andrews has been fascinated with wildlife since a young age. Celebrate the 15th Anniversary exhibit by bringing the little ones for a tour of our “Andrews Gallery of Wildlife Art” and accompanying activities and art project. This experience is specially designed for ages 2-5. The program is approximately 45 minutes in duration and is limited to approximately 30 participants.  Price: $10 per one parent and child, $3 for every additional family member.
