Jackson YMCA Community Forum.  The Y is hosting a Community Forum for neighbors and members.  As we develop a long-range strategic plan — your input will help shape our future.  What is important to you?  How can the Jackson YMCA best meet community needs?  This is your opportunity for your voice to be heard.  Light refreshments and free child care will be provided.  5:30 PM to 7 PM, Jackson YMCA Small Gym, 127 West Wesley Street, Jackson.

Game of Thrones Beer Dinner.  Get in the spirit of Westeros at Grand River Brewery in Jackson for a Game of Thrones-themed beer dinner just before the kickoff of the final season!  Tickets are $35 and include three courses (appetizer, entree, dessert) and three beer pairings.  Head Brewer Wyatt Andrews and Chef Cole Thornton will speaking about each course and pairing as they come out with some “behind-the-scenes” insight.  Costumes encouraged!  MENU:  Appetizer:  Dragon Eggs, Arya’s Fried Oyster, Summer Salad, paired with King’s Landing Saison.  Entree:  Red Wedding Roasted Pork, Lannister Gold Potatoes, John Snow Peas, paired with Hold the Door IPA.  Dessert:  White Walker Pudding, paired with North of the Wall Black Berry Stout.  7 PM to 9 PM, Grand River Brewery, 117 W. Louis Glick, Jackson.
