Rick also happens to live next door to Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate — the filmmaker and budding actress whose futures will forever be altered by members of the Manson Family.  Doors open at 6:30 P.M. Film Starts at 7:00 pm. Admission 5 dollars, members free.   Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Teacher Appreciation and Open House.  Ella Sharp Museum.  Calling all educators!  Ella Sharp herself recognized the value of education and supported and promoted the education of young people in Jackson, both directly through financial assistance and indirectly by providing for the creation of the Ella Sharp Museum. The museum is proud to continue Ella’s legacy and we also support and promote education in the Jackson community. To that end, we invite all teachers in Jackson County to join us at the museum on February 20 between 4 – 7 pm for the first annual “Teacher Appreciation and Open House” evening.  Come and see what the museum has to offer, including art and history exhibits, historic buildings, planetarium programs, art classes, artifact collections, and field trips.  Tour the museum facilities, talk to the museum staff, and tell us how we can help you meet your curriculum goals.  Giveaways include class field trip and annual teacher membership to Ella Sharp Museum.
