Ella Sharp Museum presents Ella’s Patio Party with live music, appetizers from local favorites, and a cash bar. It’s the perfect way to unwind on a summer evening with friends and family.  Tonight’s entertainment:  Ian Stewart.   While you’re here, you can explore the galleries to enjoy our rotating exhibits, stroll through our sculpture-filled grounds. Patio Parties are free for members and $5 for non-members. All ages are welcome.  Sponsored by Rehmann.

Laser Show at Hurst Planetarium.  Join us at the Hurst Planetarium for Laser Shows from Thursday 19-Sunday, July 22. Shows feature music from bands such as “The Beatles,” Pink Floyd,” and “Led Zeppelin.” Shows are $5 per person and are about 20 minutes long.  Tonight:   7 PM:  “Laser Vinyl” (classic rock hits).  7:30 PM:  “Laser Beatles”.

Francis Street Primary Pizza and Information Night.  Learn more about Francis Street Primary, 1320 Francis Street, Jackson.  6:00 PM pizza and salad will be served, 6:30 PM information session begins.

Zumba Under the Stars.  Join the party at The Cascades, presented by the Jackson YMCA, The Cascades, and Jackson County Health Department.  General admission $8 for individuals, $15 for families.  YMCA members $4 individuals, $10 for families.  This event begins at 8 PM and will be held Thursdays through August 30.

Kiwanis Summer Kids Movie Series at the Michigan Theatre, downtown Jackson.  Today, “Sherlock Gnomes” at  2 PM.   Admission is $1.00  Doors open one half hour before movie.      Kids combos available for $4.00.

65th Annual Manchester Chicken Broil.  This long time civic event is the largest of it’s kind, with the net proceeds benefiting public school, community park, library and local civic causes in our town. The delicious dinner includes 1/2 chicken, our world famous, secret, local recipe coleslaw, roll with butter, potato chips, radishes and beverage. Ice cream and additional beverages are available as extras. Musical entertainment, lots of camaraderie, and a classic car show are on site all evening! New this year will be an 1890s era softball game, jump house, face painters and much more! Tickets are $10 at the gate.  Alumni Field, Manchester.

The Ramblers from Jackson.  These guys are AMAZING artists! Come out get dinner and drinks and enjoy this free show.  Poison Frog Brewery, 7 PM to 10 PM, 1908 Horton Road, Jackson.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival continues this evening with “Measure for Measure”.  7:30 PM, Baughman Theatre, Potter Center on Jackson College Central Campus.  Tickets and more information here.

Christian Music Skate Night at Allskate.  Everyone’s invited to JAHE’s Christian Music Night 6-8 pm.
