Hanover-Horton 4th of July.  Events today begin with a Pancake Breakfast, American Legion Hall, 7 to 11 AM.  Firecracker 5 Mile Run/5K Walk begins at 8 AM with Kid’s Run at 9:15 AM.  All day activities include Car Show, Sports Tournaments, Food, 4th of July Parade at 11 AM, Lion’s Club BBQ, Arts & Crafts Show, Tractor Pull, entertainment.  Fireworks at dusk.  More details on all activities here.

Hanover-Horton Area Historical Society will once again participate in the Hanover-Horton 4th of July celebration with tractor pulls, food, children’s activities, museum tours, and our famous baked goods and produce sales.  We open at 8 am for food sales; other activities start after the parade.  Both of our facilities have air conditioning for respite from the heat.  From downtown Hanover, Conklin Museum is at the east end of Main Street with Heritage Park just beyond the museum.  As well as our unique collection of 100 restored and playable antique reed (pump) organs, the museum boasts two special exhibits:  1) Memories of Service dedicated to military men and women from the Civil War to current conflicts, and 2) a new Railroad exhibit featuring an antique electric train set along with memories and artifacts from the local railroad.  There is something for everyone at Heritage Park and Conklin Museum!
