21st Annual Uncle Phil’s BBQ Fundraiser.  11:30 AM – 2 PM.  Lumen Christi Catholic School (back patio), 3483 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson.  Join us for the 21st Annual Uncle Phil’s BBQ! This fantastic event is a great way to support Junior Achievement, Jackson School of the Arts, and Lumen Christi Catholic School. Stop by between 11:30-1 pm to enjoy delicious food and see just what our beneficiaries are doing within the Jackson community. Summer Kids Film Series.  This week:  “Encanto”. Michigan Theatre of Jackson is host to the Summer Kids Film Series (Tuesdays through Thursdays) with 11 AM and 2 PM screenings throughout the summer, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Jackson.  Doors open 30 minutes before screen time (10:30 am and 1:30 pm).  Admission is $1.  Kids Combo Small Drink and Popcorn is $4.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Reading the Rainbow Book Club.  5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  Join our Reading the Rainbow Book Club – a book group for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies to meet and discuss stories and make friends in a safe environment – on the fourth Thursday of every month. Our reading selections will be varied, with materials being chosen based on the interests of the group and group input!  This book club is geared toward youth between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. We will meet in the auditorium of the Carnegie Building unless otherwise stated.  Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.

Thursday Trivia at Ironbark:  Drag Queen Bingo.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Join us for a special edition of Thursday night entertainment as we celebrate Pride Month with a professional Drag Queen Bingo night! *21+, limited to the first 100 guests*  “Bingo just got better – and no, it’s not your Grandma’s game of bingo! Summer STEM Camp at AllSkate Fun Center.  Friday, June 24 (11 AM – 4 PM).  Ages 6-12, $30 for 1 lesson, $100 for all 4 lessons.  Includes STEM lesson, Slice of Pizza & pop, Rental Skates, Skate Mates, 1 game of Laser Tag!  Today:  THE SCIENCE OF ROLLER SKATING.  Topics Like: Friction, Design, and Reverse Engineering.  Details here.  AllSkate Fun Center, 1313 W. The Giesen Agency Food Truck Charity Event. 4 PM to 6 PM.   It’s State Farm’s 100th anniversary and The Giesen Agency is hosting a food truck charity event to celebrate!  Food Line up:  Baby Bear Burger, Crazy Cowboy, Kona Ice Giveaway to the first 100 people.  The Giesen Agency will be making a monetary donation to Cascades Humane Society for every meal purchased between 4:00 and 6:00.  Supply donations are currently being accepted at the agency and will also be welcome at the food truck event.  CHS will be at the event with some four-legged friends.  1030 Laurence Avenue, Jackson.
