Optimist Club of Jackson Garage Sale.  Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, Saturday, 10 AM to 12 Noon.  All proceeds to support Club Youth projects.  Optimist Ice Arena, 1300 West North Street, Jackson.  The Optimist Club of Jackson supports youth with Children’s Christmas Shopping Spree, Youth Appreciation Lansing Trip, Gordon Will Scholarship Fund, Archery at Parkside and more!  Find great bargains and help support youth!

LifeWays Annual Celebration.  LifeWays recognizes the many achievements of the consumers we serve and our network of providers at our Annual Celebration.  Tickets to the event are required by all guests for admittance. Free general admission tickets are available on a first-come, first served basis for individuals who currently receive services through LifeWays Community Mental Health and our Provider Network only. McDonald Athletic Center Dedication.  5 PM.  The dedication of the McDonald Athletic Center is an exciting milestone in the life of SAU’s community! We look forward to celebrating the legacy of Coach Donald A. “Mac” McDonald. A community reception will immediately follow the dedication.  The McDonald Athletic Center is located on Second Street on the Spring Arbor University Campus.

Red Cross Blood Drive.  8 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., Concord High School, 219 Monroe Street, Concord.  Donors of all blood types are urged to give now to help meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions.  Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).   In thanks, all those who come to donate blood, platelets or plasma with the Red Cross May 1 through June 10, 2019, will receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card via email. National Transportation Week Activities at Jackson Area Transportation Authority Downtown Transfer Station.  Art Contest, Prize Drawings and Giveaways, Safety Pup and more.  Free popcorn each day between 10 AM and 3 PM.  Have a hot dog lunch with drink for $0.75.  Art Contest display.  Learn about JATA’s new Track Your Bus real-time bus locator app.

AARP Presents FREE Screening of “Gloria Bell”.  A free-spirited divorcee spends her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles.
