The Kiwanis Summer Kids Series at the Michigan Theatre.  This week’s film is “Detective Pikachu”.   Doors open at 10:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. Film Times are 11 A.M. and 2 P.M. 1 Dollar Admission.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Movie Tuesdays at the Carnegie Branch.  Join us for Movie Tuesdays at the Carnegie Library!  July 9: Smallfoot.  1:30 PM, Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.

Summer Ballroom East Coast Swing.  6:30 PM.  East Coast Swing, differing from its West Coast counterpart, is a lively and jovial dance style developed through the end of the 1940’s and into the 1950’s. Unique in its American origin, it is a favorite in dance clubs and ballrooms across the world. It can be danced to many different kinds of music, and for more advanced dancers often includes acrobatic aerial tricks.  This class is 3 Tuesday’s in a row (July 9th, 16th and 23rd) for just $21 per person!  Visit us at jacksonarts.org for more information.  Jackson School of the Arts, 634 N. Allskate Tuesdays.   1-4pm Tuesday.  Adm: $6.  Join us for lots of Fun Games Tue, Wed, Thur and Fri afternoons!   Family Fun Pack only $40 includes: Skating, rental skates, 10 game tokens each, 1 game of Laser Tag each for (4) people. ($10 for additional members, 1 parent must remain present) Skate mates $5 + deposit. So bring the whole Family, Mom, Dad & the kids!   While your there, play some Laser Tag & check out our really cool Game Room and try to win some very awesome prizes! Canvas and Mocktails – Adult Painting Workshop.  Ages 16 & up.  6:00-8:00pm.  The mocktail portion of this is NON-alcoholic! It will be a fun mixed sparkling juice served in a wine glass!  Paint on canvas, and enjoy some light refreshments. Your instructor will lead you through a beautiful summer garden inspired painting. No worries if you feel you’re not an artist, we will lead the way.
