Kiwanis Summer Kids Film Series presents “How to Train Your Dragon 3”.  Doors open 30 minutes before show times,  10:30 AM for the first screening and 1:30 PM for the afternoon screening. Show times are 11 AM and 2 PM.  Admission is $1.  Kid’s Combo, small pop, and popcorn:  $4.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.   

Cheer Team Prep Clinic.  June 11, 12, 13, 5:30-7pm.  Ages 7-18.  $75 includes a t-shirt.  Tumbling, motions, jumps and basic stunts! Dance Team Prep Clinic.  June 11, 12, 13.  7pm-8:30.  Ages 7-18.  $75 includes a t-shirt.  Stretching conditioning, center and across the floor as well as learn a short combination to help with picking up choreography. Roaming Readers Book Club at the Roaming Goat.  Roaming Readers is a book club that meets at Roaming Goat the second Tuesday of every month, 1-2pm.  We’re always looking for new members! Current readings and discussions can be viewed on the forum.  Roaming Goat.  115 S. Lake Street, Grass Lake.

Safe Haven Benefit.  Region 2 Area Agency on Aging presents its Second Annual Safe Haven Benefit that will be held during World Elder Abuse Prevention week.  The event will be held at The Pointe on Clark Lake to raise awareness and funds for the Safe Haven project. Safe Haven’s mission is to protect vulnerable adults from abuse, exploitation, and neglect. We work with Adult Protective Services from the Department of Health and Human Services in Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Jackson Counties to offer safe, temporary housing, care coordination, and other needs to ensure the safety of at-risk adults in our community.  Tickets here.  5:30 PM.  The Pointe Bar & Grill, 1200 Eagle Point Road, Clark Lake.

A Universe of Stories Fun.  June 1 through June 15, come to join the summer reading fun! Sign up for summer reading, make a craft, enjoy activities, participate in a scavenger hunt and check out the list of summer programs.  All branches of the Jackson District Library.
