Bright Walls Mural Festival.  Today:  Pixel Party.  This day is all about photography!  Join us in taking photographs of the murals, artists, and you!  All photographers are welcome—be the first one to get a shot of the finished murals—you might even win our Instagram photo contest. Red Cross Blood Drive 11 a.m. – 5:45 p.m., Free Methodist Church, 120 E. Main Street.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – the perfect time to give good or platelets to support cancer patients and others.

Grand River Farmers Market.  The Grand River Farmers Market is open very Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm at the corner of Louis Glick & Mechanic St.  The market is full of MICHIGAN GROWN PRODUCE including fresh vegetables, fruits, organic goods, vegan cookies, muffins, granola, honey, jams, breads, pastas, jewelry, dog treats, salsas, fruit pies, sweet corn, tomatoes, hanging flower baskets, blueberries, maple syrup, chard, broccoli, peas, mums, and much more!

Spring Arbor University presents “Darkness and Light,” an art exhibition displaying a collection of intaglio etchings created by Michigan-based artist Reynold Weidenaar, courtesy of the Grand Rapids Public Museum. “Darkness and Light” will remain on display until Wednesday, Oct. 17, in SAU’s Ganton Art Gallery, located at 106 E. Main St., Spring Arbor.  The Ganton Art Gallery is a wonderful destination for field trips and group tours. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  Admission is always free of charge.
