Summer Kids Film Series.  This week:  “Sing 2”. Michigan Theatre of Jackson is host to the Summer Kids Film Series (Tuesdays through Thursdays) with 11 AM and 2 PM screenings throughout the summer, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Jackson.  Doors open 30 minutes before screen time (10:30 am and 1:30 pm).  Admission is $1.  Kids Combo Small Drink and Popcorn is $4.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

 Family Night at the Cascades.  Join us for Family Night at the falls on June 29th. Gordon the Magician will be there to show some amazing tricks!  $10 per family up to 8 Family Members.  Showtime is 7:00 PM.  Cascades Falls.

Grass Lake Farmers Market.  4 PM to 7 PM.  This popular Farmers Market features area farmers and vendors with the freshest produce and a wide variety of products.  120 S. Brown Street, Downtown Grass Lake.

Soapmaking at the Brooklyn Branch.  11 AM.  Join us for a natural ingredient soap making class at the Brooklyn Branch! Not only will patrons learn how to make soap from scratch, but they will learn about the scientific processes oils and lye undergo to become soap.  This program is presented by Dancing Crane and is intended for ages 15+. Nixon Water Park.  11 AM to 3 PM.  Nixon Water Park is open for the summer season.   The Nixon Water Park is located inside Nixon Park at 400 E. North St. It contains a water slide, full pool, waterfall, and wading area. The complex also hosts an event space for community use. The water park will be open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 20. The cost is $5 per person or 10 swim passes for $40. Extended daily hours are likely to be announced later this summer.
