Jackson Area Transportation Authority presents National Transportation Week activities beginning today.   The fun runs from May 14th – 18th.  Join us at the JATA Transfer Center to enjoy a hot dog/drink for 75 cents, chances to win a prize or receive a give-a-way (while supplies last)!   We hope to see you all there!

Dementia Care Presentation.  United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) Foundation is hosting dementia care expert, Teepa Snow, founder of the Positive Approach to Care on May 15, 16 and 17 at the W.J. Maher campus of Jackson College. Snow’s presentations are aimed at professional as well as informal caregivers for those living with dementia. These presentations are free and open to the public. Walk Jackson Event.  This a FREE event! Our second Walk Jackson event is on Tuesday, May 15th at Cascades Park (Big Parking lot by the Falls). Registration begins at 6:30pm to 7:00pm. Warm up is at 6:50pm. This is a three mile walk!   Door prizes will be awarded at the completion of each walk. You must be present to win!   The Grand prize is a FREE trip for two to Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, MI January 16-17, 2019!
