Boys basketball

Hanover-Horton 66, Addison 55: Hanover-Horton earned its first win of the season with a home victory against the Panthers.  

Grass Lake 53, East Jackson 42: Amarr Hunter finished with 12 points and five rebounds for the Trojans. Austin McKessy scored 11 points and made four steals for EJHS. Brayden Lape paced Grass Lake with 34 points for the Warriors’ first win of the season. 

Napoleon 74, Manchester 49: Napoleon is now 4-0 following a win over the Flying Dutchmen. Grant Bradley scored 14 points, Trent Jester finished with 13 points, and DeVonta Habern tallied 11 points for the Pirates.

Vandercook Lake 70, Michigan Center 56: Jermaine Buckner scored 19 points, Anthony Jimenez scored 16 points and Demarion Smith finished with 13 points and nine rebounds for the Jayhawks. “We switched a few things up in the second half on offense and our defense turned up the effort,” VCL Coach Cory Ray said. 

Girls basketball

Onsted 46, Columbia Central 34: Zoie Bamm scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles. CCHS made 12-of-24 free throws in the loss.

Girls Bowling

Hanover-Horton 28, Manchester 2: Mackenzie LaFountain rolled a 319 series and Lana Gilliland finished with a 148 game for the Comets. 

Boys Bowling

Hanover-Horton 28, Manchester 2: Layne Holda rolled a 234 game and Joe Davis scored a 223.
