Boys basketball

Columbia Central 63, Concord 59: Derek Sanders scored 30 points, and Chase Strasser and Gavin Zuver each scored nine points to lead the Golden Eagles (1-0). Anthony Evans scored 22 points and Mekhi Wingfield tallied 15 points for Concord. The score was tied at halftime, but CCHS broke out in the second half leading 57-44 with just over two and a half minutes to play. The Yellow Jackets (0-1) outscored CCHS 15-6 down the stretch, but could not catch the Golden Eagles in the home loss.  

Onsted 71, Michigan Center 62  

Calhoun Christian 48, Jackson Christian 46: Tate Jacobs scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for JCHS. Christian Guerrero added 13 points for the Royals (0-1). 

Girls basketball

Jackson Christian 63, Calhoun Christian 21: Maggie Hollowood had 21 points and 12 rebounds and Kayley McCollum added 20 points while connecting on five 3-pointers for the Royals.

Boys bowling

Clinton 28, Columbia Central 2: David Bielby finished with a 179 and Logan Cripps added a 161 for CCHS.  

Girls bowling

Clinton 23, Columbia Central 7: Alexis Henry rolled a 164, Kayleigh Molnar finished with a 161, and Amber Johnson bowled a 156 for the Golden Eagles.
