Boys basketball

Columbia Central 68, Dundee 57: Derek Sanders led the way for CCHS scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Jordan Pewsey scored 15 points, Chase Strasser scored a career-high 14 points and  Brendan Neitzke added 10 points and four assists for the Golden Eagles.

Tecumseh 47, Jackson 41: Cold shooting sunk the Vikings in a battle for the top in the Southeastern Conference. Jackson trailed 7-3 after the first quarter and 18-13 at halftime. The Vikings tied the game at 27 all heading into the final quarter. Tecumseh helped the Vikings stay close making only 5-of-11 free throws to start the fourth quarter, but made 5-of-6 in the final minute. Jackson found itself in foul trouble with Tecumseh in the bonus in the third quarter and in the double bonus at the 7:17 mark of the fourth quarter. Tyler Selby led Jackson with 15 points, and Tavion Tanner and Savonn Cambell both scored eight points for Jackson. 

Girls basketball

Springport 67, Concord 27: Maddux Overweg scored 27 points, created seven steals, and dished six assists for Springport (14-2). Chloey Speer added 12 points and three assists, Rylee Siefert scored 11 points with nine rebounds, and Brenna Crittenden added nine points for the Spartans.

Jackson Christian 46, Burr Oak 33: Maggie Hollowood scored 19 points and created 11 steals for Jackson Christian. Kayley McCollum added 17 points and Juliana McCombs finished with eight points for the Royals.

Napoleon 43, Manchester 41: The Pirates earned a come-from-behind win over Manchester at home on Thursday. Momo Hampton scored 14 points and Camryn Smilowski added 12 points for Napoleon (10-7).
