Girls basketball

East Jackson 61, Addison 15: Mariah Kerley scored 27 points and Aubree Bell added 11 points for East Jackson.  

Grass Lake 56, Hanover-Horton 10:  Gabi Lutchka scored 29 points to lead the Warriors. Morgan Kuhl scored five points and pulled down five rebounds for the Comets.

Napoleon 42, Lumen Christi 39: Momo Hampton finished with nine points and 11 rebounds for the Pirates. Kelsea Bradly scored nine points and Emily Smilowski added eight points for Napoleon (3-5 overall). Allison O’Dowd scored 13 points to lead the Titans. 

Jackson Christian at North Adams: The game was canceled according to scorestream.com and mhsaa.com.  

Michigan Center at Manchester: This game was also canceled according to scorestream.com and mhsaa.com.  


Napoleon quad: Napoleon earned an easy 75-0 win over Vandercook Lake and Addison defeated East Jackson 57-20. East Jackson defeated the Jayhawks – who were limited to one wrestler. 

Columbia Central at Blissfield Quad: The Golden Eagles lost 48-18 to Blissfield as Christian Millican (112), Logan Winter (125) and Thomas Sturdevant (152) scored pins for CCHS. 

Hanover-Horton Quad: Hanover-Horton earned an 18-11 win over Grass Lake in a void-filled match. Jack Reid (189) and Sam Edie (119) earned wins for the Warriors. David Fielder won for Hanover-Horton in a contested match at 125 pounds. Michigan Center defeated Hanover-Horton 48-18 with a contested win by Chase Short at 189 pounds.  

Jackson at Chelsea Tri-meet: The Vikings earned a split with an easy 78-0 win over Ann Arbor Huron, but losing to the host school 39-30. Caden Bayer earned a pair of pins for the Vikings at 130 pounds. 

Lumen Christi, Northwest at Hasting: Northwest defeated Harper Creek (50-19) and Lumen Christi (54-22). Earning two wins for the Mounties were Blaine Anspaugh, Garrett Waldron, Zach Jacobs, Wendell Lewis, Jimmy Nurkka, and Alfredo Mendoza.

Concord Quad: The wrestling event was postponed and is expected to be rescheduled for later this season.  

Competitive cheer

Columbia Central LCAA jamboree: Columbia Central High School finished sixth at its own jamboree on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles finished with a three-round total of 555.  

Boys Bowling

Napoleon 28, Michigan Center 2: Dustin Moeckel finished with a 481 series, Logan Schneider rolled a 210 game, and Seth Kane finished with a 201 game for the Pirates.

Napoleon 28, Michigan Center 2: Napoleon High School defeated the Cardinals at Suburban Lanes on Wednesday.

Jackson 136.3, Coldwater 128.95: Megan Jones of Jackson High School and Alyssa Budd of Napoleon High School did the heavy lifting for Jackson Area Gymnastics at a home meet on Wednesday. Jones won the vault (8.75) and the bars (8.5), while Budd took first in the beam (9.15) and won the floor (9.225). Budd also earned first place in the all-around (35.025). Addi Richmond of Jackson took second in the beam (8.45) and third on the bars (8.175).
