Boys basketball

Grass Lake 58, Addison 42: Brayden Lape scored 23 points and Zeke Dubeil added nine points for Grass Lake in the win. Other scorers for the Warriors included Blake Stark with seven points and Kahner Tripp with six points. The Warriors are 2-6 on the season. 

Napoleon 45, Michigan Center 42: The Pirates came back from a double-digit deficit to defeat the Cardinals on the road Thursday night. Javen Tumey-Patterson scored 18 points and Zack Johnson added 15 points for Napoleon. Verlander Williams scored nine points and Daylen Hinkle collected seven rebounds to lead the Cardinals. 

Jackson Christian 42, Tekonsha 34: The Royals have won three of its last four games.   

Homer 77, Springport 41 

Girls basketball

Columbia Central 60, Hillsdale 24: Zoie Bamm scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Columbia Central. Tadassa Brown scored 19 points, added 11 rebounds, five assists, and five steals for the Golden Eagles. CCHS has won seven of its last eight games.  

Boys Bowling

Hanover-Horton 29, Addison 1: Jack Kittel rolled a 436 series for the Comets and Bryce Blackledge finished with a 397 series. Alvin Hedrick finished with a 202 game for Addison. 

Northwest 24, Lumen Christi 6: Ryan Wenman rolled a 430 series and Logan Jahr finished with a 425 series for the Mounties. Jackson Kremer led Lumen Christi with a 368 series. 

Grass Lake 28, Manchester 2: Jack Marshall rolled a 526 for Grass Lake, including a 288 game – the third highest in the state this year. Clayton Weir rolled a 427 for the Warriors. 

Coldwater 23, Western 7

Girls Bowling

Hanover-Horton 27, Addison 3: Kaytie Warren rolled a 417 series including a 221 game for Hanover-Horton. Jenna Asher finished with a 363 series for the Panthers. 

Lumen Christi 29.5, Northwest .5: Kenzee Nees led the Titans with a 339 series and Jessica Rehberg finished with a 183 game. Serissa Meyers rolled a 264 series for the Mounties.

Swimming

Jackson 101, Chelsea 84: The Vikings improved to 2-0 on the season with a home win against Chelsea. Sophomore Logan McKinney won the 200-yard IM in 2:15 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.73. Other individual winners for the Vikings were Blake Hetherington in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.55), Steven Devaughn won the 500-yard freestyle (5:18), and Dylan Marshallsay in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.49). The Vikings also won three relays against Chelsea. 

Wrestling

Western at Pennfield Quad: Western High School improved to 14-1 on the season with a 72-12 win over Coldwater and a 72-3 win over Marshall in Interstate-8 Conference action at Pennfield. WHS wrestlers earning two wins on the night were Kaden Engelter, Eli Crist, Titan Parker, Lincoln Raczkowski, Collin Doederlein, Nolan Wahtola, Jacob Singleton, A.J. Eichenberg, Gage Parker, Alex Trudell, Aidan Duncan, and Dominic Honsinger.
