Baseball

Hanover-Horton 5, Addison 0: Garrett Gumper strikes out 16 batters for the Comets in the continuation of a game from April 19. Kenny Jarchow struck out 10 batters for Addison.  

Columbia Central 7, Grass Lake 3: Cameron Adams had three hits and knocked in four runs for the Golden Eagles. 

Grass Lake 6, Columbia Central 1: Grass Lake scored five times in the sixth inning to pull out the win. Braedon Leathed had a pair of RBIs for Grass Lake. Ethan Stewart struck out six batters from CCHS on the mound. 

Pinckney 9, Jackson 4: Michael Foust had a pair of hits and knocked in one run for Jackson. 

Pinckney 16, Jackson 6: Jackson hitter Brendan Blood recorded a pair of hits in the contest. 

Lenawee Christian 8, Michigan Center 5: Karl Hess had a pair of hits and Daylen Hinkle struck out five batters on the mound for the Cardinals.  

Homer 13, Vandercook Lake 3: Camren Lackey and Kaden Dubois had a pair of hits for the Jayhawks. 

Softball

Vandercook Lake 15, Homer 8: Morgan LeFaive had a big night with 10 strikeouts on the mound, three hits and three RBIs at the plate for the Jayhawks. Anna Macomber had a pair of home runs for the Jayhawks in the win. 

Homer 8, Vandercook Lake 2: Morgan LeFaive struck out another 10 batters on the mound for VCL, but the Jayhawks could only muster five hits in the loss. 

Girls’ soccer

Lumen Christi 5, Harper Creek 0

Boys’ golf

Big Eight jamboree at Concord: Springport High School finished second to Quincy (202) with a four-man total of 210. Concord finished fifth with a total of 245 at Concord Hills Golf Course. Tanner Benden scored a 48 for the Spartans and Alex Grundeman scored a 55 for the Yellow Jackets. 

Jackson Christian at St. Philip: Jackson Christian High School finished seventh with 248 at the SCAA jamboree at Binder Park Golf Course. Jonathan Locke shot a 58 for the Royals. 

Girls’ tennis

Jackson 6, Lincoln 2: Jackson swept the singles and received wins at No. 2 doubles with Lauren Jones/Megan Jones and No. 3 doubles with Manroop Bamrah/Julia Hastings.
