Boys basketball

Pennfield 60, Western 49: Western scored the first nine points of the game en route to a 21-13 lead after eight minutes. But Pennfield battled back for the win. Kamerin Carter led Western in scoring with 16 points while going 6-for-6 from the foul line. Owen Fremeau finished with eight points and Carter Martin had six points and a team-high five rebounds for Western (3-3 overall).

Everett 65, Jackson 57: Ben Malone scored 16 points and Savonn Campbell added 13 points for the Vikings. 

Harper Creek 64, Northwest 52:  Ian Weller scored 19 points and Duncan Moffitt added 16 points for the Mounties.

Girls basketball

Northwest 47, Harper Creek 31:  Ashley Weller scored 20 points and Layne Sleight scored 10 points for the Mounties. Northwest outscored Harper Creek 18-6 in the third quarter to pull away. The Mounties are now 5-2 on the season. 

Springport 55, Homer 34: Maddux Overweg scored 25 points and dished six assists to lead Springport (4-2 overall, 2-1 Big 8). Ryann Locke scored 21 points and Chloe Neelis added 12 rebounds for Springport. The Spartans are on a modest three-game winning streak.  

Western 59, Pennfield 22: Three players finished in double figures as Western improved to 7-0 on the season. Reece Hitt finished with a team-high 19 points, Alyna Lewis added 11 points, and Hillary Griffin scored 10 points. Lilli Luma scored nine points and Riley Kubiak finished with 12 rebounds for Western. 

Napoleon 49, Addison 30: Momo Hampton scored 13 points and Emily Smilowski added 10 points for the Pirates in the home win. Napoleon is 2-5 overall on the season.

Columbia Central 50, Dundee 36: Tadassa Brown did everything but sell popcorn for the Golden Eagles with 15 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, four blocked shots, and two steals in the Lenawee County Athletic Association win. Anna McCollum led CCHS with 18 points. The Golden Eagles are 5-2 overall for the season. 

East Jackson 55, Hanover-Horton 35: Mariah Kerley scored 18 points and Savana Stewart added 12 points for the Trojans. Morgan Kuhl scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and McKenna Easter added eight points for the Comets.

Hastings 41, Lumen Christi 37

Grass Lake 58, Michigan Center 16:  Gabbi Lutchka scored 14 points and Olivia Turner finished with 11 points for Grass Lake. 

Reading 42, Concord 39:  Hannah Stimer and Jamiya Rogers scored 11 points apiece for Concord.  

Boys Bowling

Quincy 19, Hanover-Horton 11: Layne Holda rolled a 185 game and Ben Childs finished with a 180 game for Hanover-Horton (3-3). 

 Girls Bowling

Hanover-Horton 20, Quincy 10: Halle Curtis finished with a 156 game and Kaytie Warren rolled a 148 game for Hanover-Horton (4-2). 

Hockey

Lumen Christi 2, Lansing Capitals 1: Nolan Varner and Josh DuMont scored goals for the Titans in the win near Lansing. Matt Hoop earned the win in goal for the Titans (7-3).
