Boys basketball

Blissfield 60, Columbia Central 49: The Golden Eagles fell behind 29-14 in the first half and never recovered in the Lenawee County Athletic Association road game. 

Concord 44, Quincy 37: Mekhi Wingfield scored 10 of his team-high 16 points in the second half as the Yellow Jackets earned a comeback victory. Concord is 6-0 in Big Eight Conference play.  

Jackson 71, Adrian 62: The Vikings improved to 9-3 with the victory. Terrell White scored 23 points, Savonn Campbell added 13 points, and Tyler Selby finished with 11 points for Jackson. 

Calhoun Christian 71, Jackson Christian 40: Christian Guerrero scored 17 points and Tate Jacobs added 11 points for Jackson Christian. 

Jackson Prep 57, Will Carleton 46: Jackson Prep is on a seven-game winning streak with the victory. 

Northwest 55, Eaton Rapids 47: The Mounties broke open a tied game at halftime improving to 8-4 on the season. 

Jonesville 68, Springport 48: The Spartans fell to 1-10 overall with the Big Eight Conference loss. 

Girls basketball

Blissfield 42, Columbia Central 27: Zoie Bamm scored 11 points to lead Columbia Central. 

Grass Lake 57, Manchester 45: Makenna Horodeczny set a new school record with 19 rebounds in the Grass Lake win. 

Napoleon 45, Hanover-Horton 34: Alyssa Budd scored 10 points and Maggie Beer and Karson Fairbanks added nine points apiece for the Pirates in the road win. Molly Soper scored 10 points, Olivianna Watkins added eight points, and Morgan Kuhl finished with eight points and 12 rebounds for Hanover-Horton. 

Jackson 43, Adrian 36: Kulayjah Willer scored 15 points and Keiyera Johnson added 11 points to lead the Vikings.  

Pittsford 32, Jackson Christian 23: Maggie Hollowed led the Royals in scoring with nine points and Julaina McCombs added six points.

Lumen Christi 38, Lakewood 35: Khiya Hunt scored 15 points and created five steals for the Titans. Allison O’Dowd scored 12 points and Camy Crandall added eight points for Lumen Christi – now on a three-game winning streak.  

Northwest 63, Eaton Rapids 21: The win marks the 200th career win as a head varsity coach for Ryan Carroll. Layne Sleight scored 24 points and dished six assists, Ashley Weller added 20 points and five rebounds, and Mara Mitchell scored 14 points and created five steals for Northwest. The Mounties are 12-1 on the season. 

Michigan Center 39, East Jackson 23: Michigan Center held the Trojans to 10 points in the first half. Julia Reynolds scored 15 points and Riley Brown added eight points for the Cardinals. Mariah Kerley finished with 10 points to lead EJHS. 

Addison 55, Vandercook Lake 5: The Panthers led 36-3 at halftime in the contest with both teams supporting only one high school basketball team this season. 

Competitive cheer

Cascades Conference at Addison: Michigan Center won the jamboree at Addison High School with a three-round total of 714. Hanover-Horton was second (638), Addison placed third (574), Vandercook Lake finished fourth (563), Napoleon was fifth (558), Grass Lake placed sixth (502), and East Jackson finished seventh (462).

East Jackson 25, Addison 5:  Steven Tripp finished with a 468 series and Jordan Tripp rolled a 402 series to lead the Trojans at JAX 60. Alvin Hedrick rolled a 247 game to lead the Panthers. 

Western 30, Lumen Christi 0: Buster Marr rolled a 223 game and Tobyn LePeak finished with a 206 game for the Panthers.  

Northwest 25, Marshall 5: Ryan Wenman finished with a 460 series for the Mounties. Kolbe Hamlin finished with a 224 game for Northwest.  

Girls bowling

Addison 20, East Jackson 10: Bree Baxter rolled a 309 series to lead East Jackson. Ashtin Staudinger rolled the high game of the night with 214 for Addison. 

Lumen Christi 22, Western 8: Gabby Semenchuk finished with a 344 series including a 200 game for Western. Madason McDonald also finished with a 147 for the Panthers.  

Marshall 21, Northwest 9: Northwest High School bowler Kaylin Blair finished with a 330 series.
