Concord 17, Athens 6: Abe Reiniche had two hits and knocked in three runs for the Yellow Jackets.

Concord 17, Athens 2: Levi Raymond and Timar Spratley each had two hits and knocked in three runs for Concord. Mark File earned the pitching win for Concord (10-11).

Lumen Christi 10, Leslie 2: Cooper Cumberworth recorded four hits and knocked in three runs and Max McCluskey tallied three hits and knocked in two runs for the Titans. Garrett Swan and McCluskey combined on a seven-hitter on the mound for the Titans.

Michigan Center 4, East Jackson 0: Daylen Hinkle scattered two hits and struck out 13 batters on the mound for the Cardinals. Noah Mast, Kaydin Hiland, and Allen Whitmill each had two hits for Michigan Center (8-6-1).

Lakeview 11, Western 7: Nolan Wheeler had two hits and knocked in three runs for Western during a doubleheader on Wednesday.

Lakeview 13, Western 3: Western collected 14 hits in the game, but could only push across three runs. Alex Trudell had three hits for Western (8-11).

Softball

Grass Lake 19, Stockbridge 3: The top of the order did most of the damage for the Warriors as Rylee Fitzpatrick, Emily Guthrie, and Olivia Turner combined for nine hits and 10 RBIs for Grass Lake. Katelyn Postuma also recorded three hits for Grass Lake (19-3-1).

Grass Lake 15, Stockbridge 5: Bree Salts had four hits – including a home run – and knocked in six runs for the Warriors.

Athens 8, Concord 3: Iyla Weeks had two hits and knocked in two runs for Concord.

Athens 9, Concord 8: Athens scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the win. Hannah Stimer had four hits and Jayden Householder finished with three hits and knocked in two runs for Concord (3-17).

Michigan Center 10, East Jackson 9: Kylie McKee had two hits and knocked in two runs and Riley Brown earned the pitching win for Michigan Center. Savana Stewart and Addison Hendricks had three hits apiece for East Jackson.

Michigan Center 14, East Jackson 12: Emily Uyttenhove had four hits and Savana Stewart collected three hits and knocked in four runs for the Trojans. Mady Whipple and Kylie McKee had two hits for the Cardinals (5-13) – winners of three of its last four games.

Girls soccer

Leslie 6, Grass Lake 3: The Warriors are 6-6-1 following the road loss to Leslie. Ella Kraus scored two goals and Amanda Griffor added another for Grass Lake. Kylin Heidrich added two assists and Karly Penhallegon stopped 14 shots in net for the Warriors.

Pinckney 6, Jackson 0

Lumen Christi 3, Coldwater 1: The Titans improved to 4-4-2 with the win.

Boys golf

Cascades jamboree: Hanover-Horton won the home jamboree at Arbor Hills Golf Club with a 168. Michigan Center was second with 184, Napoleon shot 193, Grass Lake finished with 201, Addison tallied 211, and East Jackson carded 216. Ben Maino of East Jackson earned medalist honors with a 38, Brady Applegate of Hanover-Horton shot 39, teammates Ryder Pickering and Seth Dailey shot 42s. John DuBois of Napoleon finished with a 44, and Lucas Howard and Dylan Villarreal of Michigan Center and A.J. Fineman of Grass Lake all shot 45s.

Girls tennis

Jackson 6, Leslie 2: Jackson swept the singles’ competition with wins by Eva Curtis, Lauren Jones, Megan Jones, and Julia Hastings at Nos. 1-4 respectively. Chloe Chaparro/Grace Trosin won 6-1 and 6-3 at No. 1 doubles and Leslie defaulted the match at No. 4 doubles. Jackson is 5-5-1 on the season with the home win.

Northwest 6, Hillsdale 2: Savanna Anderson and Emma Flynn of Northwest earned wins at Nos. 1 and 4 singles respectively. The Mounties swept the doubles’ matches with Kayli Shakelford/Emily Zielinski earning a three-set win at No. 2 doubles and Jade Sayles/Lio Werner winning 10-6 in the third set.

Western 7, Hastings 1: Renee Marston, Maddie Miles, and Mena Smarch earned singles’ wins at Nos. 2-4 respectively. Teagan Robertson/Alena Engle won a three-set match at No. 3 doubles. The Panthers remain undefeated in Interstate-8 Conference action.
