Volleyball Districts

Division 1

At Battle Creek Lakeview

Northwest 3, Jackson 1: Northwest High School won 25-13, 25-10, 21-25, and 25-15 to advance to the district final at Battle Creek Lakeview on Saturday. Layne Sleight led the Mounties with 17 kills, Jillian Osterberg finished with 36 assists, and Ashley Weller recorded 13 digs. Kulayjah Weller finished with seven kills and Chloe Chaparro dished 27 assists for the Vikings. Jackson finishes the season with a 13-17-3 overall record.

Lakeview 3, Harper Creek 0: Battle Creek Lakeview will face Northwest in the district final Saturday at home beginning at 11 a.m.

Division 2

At Parchment High School

Marshall 3, Pennfield 0: The Interstate-8 Conference champions will face Western in the Division 2 district final on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at Parchment High School.

Western 3, Three Rivers 0: Western High School won 25-19, 25-20, and 25-11 in the district semifinal on Thursday night. Finley Elder had 12 kills and Kayda Herrick finished with 11 kills for the Panthers. Brynn Rogers dished 21 assists and Herrick finished with 12 digs for Western. The Panthers earned its 30th win of the season with the semifinal win.

Division 3

At Grass Lake High School

Grass Lake 3, Springport 0: Grass Lake High School defeated Springport 25-15, 25-18, and 25-18 in the district semifinal at home Thursday. Adrianna Kline finished with 13 kills, Mia Buttigieg dished 27 assists and Abby Buttigieg finished with 18 digs and 17 points at the service line for the Warriors. Cascades Conference foes Grass Lake and Michigan Center will match up in the district final on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

Michigan Center 3, Lumen Christi 0: The Cardinals advanced to the district final with the win.

Division 3

At Reading High School

Hanover-Horton 3, Reading 0: The Comets advanced to the regional tournament with the win. The regional tournament starts Tuesday with Hanover-Horton vs. the Michigan Center/Grass Lake winner beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Springport High School. Becca Uphaus had 14 digs to go over the 1,000 mark for her career in the Hanover-Horton win. Natalee Krage finished with 27 assists and Chelsea Russ finished with 13 kills for the Comets.

Division 3

at Addison High School

Hudson 3, Napoleon 2: The Pirates won two of the first three games, but fell in games four and five to Hudson. The Tigers won 20-25, 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, and 15-11. Alyssa Budd and Maggie Beer combined for 41 kills, Momo Hampton dished 43 assists, and Keegan Schoendorf recorded 33 digs for Napoleon. The Pirates finish the second with a 26-10-1 record while Hudson advances to the Adrian Madison regional beginning on Tuesday.

Division 4

At Pittsford High School

Pittsford 3, North Adams-Jerome 2: Pittsford High School will play for a district title at home Friday night beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Vandercook Lake 3, Jackson Prep 0: The Jayhawks advance to the district final with a sweep of Jackson Prep & Early College. Vandercook Lake will face Pittsford at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
