Western 61, Columbia Central 30: The Panthers jumped out to a 28-8 lead after eight minutes and cruised to the win. Nine players scored in the first quarter for Western. The Panthers led 43-10 at halftime. Columbia Central outscored the Panthers 20-18 in the second half. Western was led by Cole Wilcox with 15 points and Owen Fremeau with 14 points and seven rebounds. Wyatt Robinson dished four assists in the contest for Western (1-0). CCHS (0-1) was led by Cameron Adams with 13 points, Jordan Pewsey scored six points, and Jacob Walker tallied five rebounds and four assists.
Northwest 50, Mason 44: Four 3-point baskets spurred a comeback for Northwest in the third quarter. Clutch free throws by Colton Gowdy proved to be crucial down the stretch. Duncan Moffitt finished with 13 points for NW (1-0). Gowdy finished with 11 points, Ian Weller added nine points, and Briston Armstrong added seven points. Northwest shot nearly 80 percent from the free throw line.

Columbia Central 55, Leslie 51: Tadassa Brown scored 21 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and dished six assists in the win. Ava Lyke scored 11 points and Zoie Bamm added 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds for Columbia Central (1-1).
Onsted 35, Michigan Center 33: Samantha Wynn nearly scored a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals for the Cardinals. Julia Reynolds scored eight points and Iyana Watson finished with six rebounds and five points for Michigan Center (1-2).

Northwest 53, Mason 36: Ashley Weller scored 19 points and Layne Sleight added 10 points for Northwest. The Mounties scored 23 points in the second quarter to pull ahead.
Western 44, East Lansing 43: East Lansing led 18-7 after the first quarter by Western battled back for a 1-point non-conference win. Alyna Lewis scored 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Western. Hillary Griffin scored 18 points, Riley Kubiak grabbed seven rebounds, and Lilli Luma finished with four steals for Western (3-0).
