Volleyball

Concord tri-meet: Concord High School defeated Leslie (25-17 and 25-20) and Michigan Center (25-21 and 25-23) in a home tri-meet on Thursday. Georgia Weeks had 16 kills and 17 digs, Hadley Kettwich dished 34 assists, and Karlee Gamet finished with 10 kills and was perfect at the service line. Concord is now 17-8-1 overall following the two non-conference wins. 

Bellevue 3, Jackson Christian 0: The Royals lost 25-17, 25-18, and 25-11 on the road Thursday. Caitlin Anderson had three kills and four assists and Liv Conrad finished with four digs and four aces for Jackson Christian. 

Western at Bronson Quad: Western defeated Centreville (25-10, 25-16, and 25-20) but lost to Bronson (25-19, 25-17, and 25-17).  Brynn Rogers dished 39 assists, Kayda Herrick recorded 13 kills, and Hillary Griffin tallied 14 kills and five blocks for Western (21-6-1). 

Lenawee Christian 3, Hanover-Horton 0: The Comets lost 25-23, 25-12, and 25-19 on Thursday. Becca Uphaus had nine kills and 12 digs for Hanover-Horton. 

Division 2 Districts

Vicksburg 8, Northwest 0: The Mounties finish the season with a 5-11-1 record following the D-2 district loss at Vicksburg.  

Division 4 Districts

Grass Lake 5, Lumen Christi 0: Henry Black and Gus Vitale scored goals 12 seconds apart as the Warriors opened up a scoreless game with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half. Black and Westley Good both finished with two goals in the win. Dylan Griffor had two assists for Grass Lake (11-4-2). Jack Easterday earned the shutout in goal for Grass Lake. Lumen Christi finishes the season with a 2-7 record. The Warriors will travel to Adrian Lenawee Christian on Monday for a 7 p.m. Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 4 district semifinal match. Lenawee Christian are the defending state champions in D-4.
