Volleyball

Fowlerville 3, Northwest 0: Peach Kennedy and Piper Darrow both had 12 digs for the Mounties. Teja Kapp recorded nine kills for Northwest. 

Columbia Central 3, Ida 0: The Golden Eagles kept pace in the Lenawee County Athletic Association with a sweep of Ida. CCHS is now 9-1 in the LCAA. 

Napoleon 3, Grass Lake 1: The Pirates will be the No. 1 seed in the Cascades Conference tournament next week following a win over Grass Lake. The Warriors were 5-1 heading into the contest with a chance to tie for first place. Momo Hampton had 27 assists and 22 digs for Napoleon. Samantha Conaway finished with 10 kills, Elisse Omey tallied eight blocks, and Kaitlyn Pequet recorded 15 service points for Napoleon (19-2-2).  Olivia Turner had 30 digs and nine kills and Ruby Johnson led the Warriors with 12 kills. 

Concord 3, Jonesville 1: The Yellow Jackets will enter the Big 8 Conference Tournament on Saturday with only one conference loss following the win. Karlee Gamet led the Yellow Jackets with 15 kills and 24 digs. Georgia Week had 10 kills and 19 digs and Hadley Kettwich was 27-for-27 serving with five aces for Concord (18-8-1). 

Vandercook Lake 3, East Jackson 1: The Jayhawks earned a Cascades Conference home win on Tuesday. 

 

Michigan Center 3, Hanover-Horton 2: The Cardinals won 15-9 in game five to pull out the Cascades Conference match. Becca Uphaus led Hanover-Horton with 12 kills and 40 digs, Lilly Wooster had 11 kills, and Alana VanEpps tallied 45 assists. 

Boys Cross country

Big Eight at Bronson: Concord High School easily won the jamboree at Bronson with 27 points. Springport finished seventh with 137 points. Jonathan Mikovits of Concord won the event with a time of 16:48, Joe Bulko was third running 17:04, Isaac Waldron placed sixth in 18:23, and Adair Artis was right behind him in 18:23. Elijah Dyer of Springport finished 19th in 20:07. 

Girls Cross country

Big Eight at Bronson: Concord placed third (88) and Springport was sixth (147) at the Bronson jamboree. Haylee Rinehart of Concord finished seventh (22:59) and teammate Riley Adams placed eighth (23:28). Kamren Steward of Springport finished 11th in 23:49.
