(September 8, 20214:09 PM) ) To further Henry Ford Allegiance Health’s commitment to safety and on-site security, the organization has implemented a program for qualifying security officers to enter a licensing and training process to become security police officers. Three Henry Ford Allegiance Health security personnel have completed training at the Public Safety Training Complex at Schoolcraft College; an additional eight are scheduled to complete training over the next year.

Henry Ford Allegiance Health’s security police officers have the authority, when in uniform and on duty, to arrest within the organization’s facilities or grounds. Henry Ford Allegiance Health is proud to recognize its first three security police officers:

  • Security Police Lieutenant David Davis
  • Security Police Lieutenant Brian Parsons
  • Security Police Sergeant Brandon Baker

Public Act 330 of 1968 was enacted to license, regulate, provide minimum qualifications, and to prescribe certain powers and duties for private security personnel and officers. There are currently 13 licensed security police agencies in Michigan, eight of which are health systems. Henry Ford Allegiance Health is now among the other Henry Ford Health System locations with a PA 330 arrest authority branch license.
