County National Bank Announces Jackson Market Promotions

Craig S. Connor, President and CEO of County National Bank (“CNB”), is pleased to announce the recent promotion of two members of the CNB Team in the Jackson Market, Tony Baker and Robert Wrozek. “Tony and Bob’s promotions are well-deserved. These talented and dedicated individuals help bolster an already strong CNB Executive Team.” Connor stated. “Jackson County has had a recent history of financial institutions not maintaining their commitment to the people of this county.  At CNB, we continue to be proud of our 20 years of service in the Jackson area. I look to the future with confidence and optimism knowing these skilled and committed bankers are continuing to guide our efforts within this very important market.”

Robert Wrozek has been promoted to Vice President – Jackson Market Leader. Bob started with CNB in 2004 as a Management Trainee.  His 17-year banking career includes branch management, business development, and commercial lending.  Bob is a graduate of Adrian College and is very active in the community with the Southwest Little League, The Exchange Club of Jackson, The Dahlem Center, and Junior Achievement.  He is the varsity softball coach at Lumen Christi High School and also coaches the Michigan Brewnettes youth softball team.  He and his family reside in the Jackson area.  Bob will continue to be involved with commercial lending and will also focus on overall business development in the Jackson Market.

Tony Baker has been promoted to Regional Vice President – Jackson Market.  Tony joined CNB in December of 2020 as Vice President – Commercial Loan Officer in Jackson.  His 28 years of banking have included similar leadership roles which have prepared him for this new position.  Tony is a graduate of Michigan State University and he is very active in the community as he serves of the Board and Finance Committees for Jackson YMCA and Jackson College Foundation, Audit Committee for Jackson Community Foundation and Advisory Board for Jackson College Cardiac Sonography Program.  Tony and his family reside in the Jackson area.  Tony will continue to be involved with commercial lending and will also manage the commercial lenders in the Jackson Market.

Jackson Symphony Orchestra Names Steven Trosin Executive Director

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra is extremely pleased to announce that Steven Trosin, Director of Business & Operations, will be taking over as Executive Director effective immediately. Having served the JSO for over 8 years, spearheading the development of our Music on Tap series and managing business and operations, the JSO is excited to have him lead the organization with his experience and deep roots in the community.

Matthew Aubin, who will continue his work as the Music Director, shifting to focus more on the artistic direction of the JSO, is excited for this transition and the future of the organization. “Steve Trosin is the natural fit to lead the JSO to greater heights. Steve’s knowledge of community along with a commitment to Jackson’s art scene makes him the ideal fit. I‘m happy to work alongside him!“ he stated.

Steven intends to keep the JSO on a course of growth and community engagement through music “I am honored to have been asked to become the Executive Director of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. The JSO is a very special organization that helps make Jackson a great place to live. We have an excellent, creative team and I look forward to continuing to work with Matt and everyone on staff as we keep growing and improving each day.”

Ted Ludlow Named Chief Philanthropy Officer for Jackson Catholic Schools

Jackson Catholic Schools has named Ted Ludlow Chief Philanthropy Officer for the school system.

Ted has been the Dean of Students at Lumen Christi Catholic School for the past six years. Prior to that, he worked as the Athletic Director and 7th grade Religion teacher. 

This brand-new position will oversee all outreach programs for communities and families, manage partnerships, secure development, and strengthen community engagement. 

Ludlow said, “I am really looking forward to the chance to reach our Jackson community outside of these four walls, engaging with families, students, and businesses alike. I’m blessed to be part of this growth and want to see our community thrive.”  

In announcing the appointment, Tim DeWitt, Executive Director of Jackson Catholic Schools said, “We are excited that Ted has decided to join our Advancement Office. Ted’s love of Catholic education, his unwavering dedication to our students and strong commitment to community will help continue to grow Jackson Catholic Schools and deliver the message of Christ Discipleship.” 

Krista Jarvey Named Principal of Instruction at the Middle School at Parkside

Jackson Public Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Krista Jarvey as the new Principal of Instruction at the Middle School at Parkside.

Mrs. Krista Jarvey is a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1991. She attended Eastern Michigan University to attain her Bachelor’s Degree in Education minoring in Social Science, ELA and Science. Mrs. Jarvey finished her Master’s degree in 2007 from Marygrove College with a focus in the Art of Teaching then was awarded her Administrative certificate in 2010. She then graduated from EMU in 2011 with a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

Krista has worked as an administrator at Parkside since 2015.

Mrs. Jarvey and her husband, Mike, have three children (Clayton 20, Caden 18 and Cailee 17). Krista and her husband have been married for 23 years. Krista is a member of Keystone Church located in Saline, MI., the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association and NAAPID committee. Krista has led initiatives such as the Laundry Initiative, Safe Routes to School, MSU Goals Program, and Project Healthy Schools.

“I am extremely honored and excited to take on the role of Principal of Instruction at Parkside. I have huge shoes to fill but I know Mr. Patterson is only a phone call away. He has been an inspirational mentor to me on this journey and I appreciate his leadership and guidance.” Mrs. Jarvey said. “I look forward to continuing my relationships with my staff, students, parents, and the Jackson community. It is truly a great day to be a Viking!”

JPS Superintendent Jeff Beal said, “We are pleased to transition Parkside into the very capable hands of Parkside Associate Principal, Mrs. Jarvey. At JPS we strive to cultivate leaders within our district and Mrs. Jarvey has been a strong leader and advocate for our community, students, and families throughout her career at Parkside. Mrs. Jarvey’s commitment to Parkside and our entire district is evident through her strong leadership skills, compassion and depth of knowledge of our Parkside staff, students, and families!
