The Guess Who

Since the 1970’s, The Guess Who have connected with the masses throughout an exultant hit parade including “These Eyes,” “Clap For the Wolfman,” “Hand Me Down World,” “No Time,” “Star Baby,” and “Share the Land.” Add in fellow classics and double-sided singles like the rock anthem “American Woman” and “No Sugar Tonight,” plus “Laughing” and “Undun,” and the Canadian-bred stateside conquerors are amongst music’s most indelible treasures who are eternally etched into the very fabric of pop culture history.

Tenth Avenue North “No Shame Fall Tour”

Tenth Avenue North has always managed to fuse truth and music in a potent blend that leaves listeners engaged, entertained and inspired. Tenth Avenue North made their national debut in 2008 with their hits “Love is Here,” “By Your Side” and “Hold My Heart.” The group won the Gospel Music Association Dove Award in 2009 for New Artist of the Year and in 2010 “By Your Side” was named Song of the Year. The band has continued to gain popularity with their hits singles “What You Want,” “I Have This Hope” and most recently “Control.” Joining Tenth Avenue North on their No Shame Fall Tour are Christian music artists Mike Donehey and Austin French.

Chicks with Hits featuring Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogguss

Three powerhouse female Country music singers will take to the stage for one night of hit after hit excitement when Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogguss bring their Chicks with Hits tour to the Potter Center. Terri Clark is known for her hit singles  “Better Things To Do,” “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” “Girls Lie Too” and “I Just Wanna Be Mad.” Pam Tillis’ many hits include “Maybe It Was Memphis,” “Mi Vida Loca,” “Spilled Perfume” and “Don’t Tell Me What To Do.”  And Suzy Bogguss’ hits include “Outbound Plane,” “Someday Soon,” “Letting Go,” and “Drive South.”  The triple-threat combination of talent is unparalleled; with over 10 million records sold, and numerous GRAMMY, ACM, CMA, and CCMA awards. But ultimately, it’s about three friends singing and playing great songs together, and having fun.

Postmodern Jukebox

To usher in the upcoming Twenty-Twenties, famed time-twisting musical collective Postmodern Jukebox will circumnavigate the globe in 2019 on their Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 Tour. The tour is meant to prepare the world for a new decade –one that Postmodern Jukebox creator Scott Bradlee hopes will see a return to the style and craftsmanship that typified the music of past generations.  Postmodern Jukebox has become a viral sensation with its surreal renditions of contemporary pop hits in vintage musical styles.  PMJ has amassed over one billion YouTube views with 3.5 million subscribers, and have chalked up more than 1.7 million fans on Facebook. For the past half-decade, PMJ has toured the world, playing hundreds of shows to sold-out houses on six continents. Nebraska Theater Caravan’s A Christmas Carol

This celebrated Charles Jones adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is rich with thrilling ensemble music, alive with color and movement and is created to tell this great and enduring tale in a manner that people of all ages will enjoy.  Woven throughout this classic tale are beautiful new arrangements and moving renditions of holiday songs such as God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Wassail Wassail, Good Christian Men Rejoice, Away in a Manger, Greensleeves, The Boar’s Head Carol and many more.  Featuring a cast of 23 performers, live musicians, and Broadway-style scenery and costumes, audiences cherish this sumptuous holiday classic.

This joyous company comes direct from Mexico to share its country’s rich cultural gifts of dance, music, folklore, and costumes. In this spellbinding performance, Ballet Folclórico Nacional de México de Silvia Lozano showcases its country’s finest music and dance, pulsating with hypnotic rhythms and swirling colors, including a mosaic of traditional folk dances such as the Jarabe Tapatío, the Deer Dance, the Aztecs/Concheros, and more.

Their live show is as intense as ever with incredible energy and musicianship that one would expect and hope for from a seasoned band with such a long musical history. Their hits songs include “Slow Ride,” “Driving Wheel” and “Fool for the City.”

Sister’s Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go to Heaven?

Celebrate the Easter Season with Sister as she answers the time worn questions of the season like “Why isn’t Easter the same day every year like Christmas?” and “Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?” Part pageant, and wHOLY hysterical, this sinfully funny Late Nite Catechism SHOW unearths the origins of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter bonnets, Easter baskets, and of course those yummy Easter Peeps. Sister answers questions about pet heaven and the significance of those adorable baby chicks! Classroom participation is a must, so don’t forget to wear your Easter bonnet and join Sister for this seasonal treat!

le Cirque Esprit’s Spirit of the Machine

Le Cirque Esprit brings its latest creation, Spirit of the Machine, to the Potter Center. The new show, featuring cirque by the Boston Circus Guild and live music by contemporary pioneers cordis, is based on the Greek mythological tale of Talos — “the first machine” — and was inspired by cordis’ epic multi-movement suite “The Only,” which features mechanical instruments such as a 1902 Victor Talking Machine, a large custom-made music box, and a pocketwatch. It’s packed with breathtaking acrobatics and aerial acts paired with classic steampunk-era circus artistry. Great entertainment for the entire family !
