(October 24, 2020 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12:00 PM today, there are 1,683 positive cases (cumulative), and 63 deaths (cumulative)*.    

There are 69 new cases and 1 new death since yesterday’s report.   This is the largest single-day increase in positive cases since the start of the pandemic.  The previous one day record of 48 cases was set on October 16.

Cumulative recovered, as of October 24, 2020:  1011**

The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 5:40 PM October 16, there are 1,693 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 179 confirmed positive staff cases.  MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative.

As of 7 AM October 22, there 20 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19.

The Jackson County Township map and recovery data will be posted each Monday. 

*These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category “Others” for the Michigan Statistics.

**Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
