Jackson County Cumulative Report: 413 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 26 Deaths

(May 16, 2020 2:02 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County. As of 12:00 PM today, there are 413*** positive cases (cumulative), and 26 deaths (cumulative)*.

Today the Jackson County Health Department is providing a new statistic of recovered patients and that number is 247**.

The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 9 PM Thursday, there are 1,000 confirmed positive cases are at Jackson facilities, 133 Confirmed Positive Jackson Staff.

As of 2 PM on Friday, May 15, there are 22 individuals with positive COVID-19 results who are inpatients at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. To date, a total of 118 positive COVID-19 HFAH inpatients have been treated and discharged.

*These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections. Their numbers are listed under a separate category “MDOC” for the Michigan Statistics.

**Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).

*** Two cases were found to be duplicates in the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS) and were merged which created a decrease of 2 cases.
